Title: Interlude
Word Count: 100
Pairing: HP/DM
A/N: Sequel to Breaking Up is Hard to Do.

Draco had always known that this interlude with Harry, however enjoyable, would have to end sooner or later. He'd tried to explain that, but Harry never wanted to listen. Typical Griffindor, assuming everything would work out somehow, he thought, trying to summon up the proper mental sneer.

This Valentine's Day letter simply meant that they’d have to break it off sooner rather than later. He told himself that he was only disappointed that it had come so soon.

He had to find a way to end it from a distance. He obviously wasn't going to manage it face to face.

Title: Jealousy
Word Count: 100
Pairing: HP/DM
A/N: Sorta takes place surrounding Engagement and Breaking Up is Hard to Do. Why must all my drabbles be connected? I'm sure I don't know.

Harry had always known his time with Draco would be short. Sole heir, carry on the Malfoy name, blah, blah, blah. He just hadn't expected it to be this short. They’d had so little time together.

When he saw the owl drop the gilded parchment next to Draco, he felt as though his heart plunged with it, dropping past the table onto the floor. On Valentine's Day, of all days. That was cruel, even for Draco's parents.

When he met Draco after curfew that night, he let his jealousy roughen his voice and hoped Draco would mistake it for passion.

Title: The Plan
Word Count: 100
Characters: Lucius, Narcissa
A/N: Takes place before Engagement. Someday I'll put these all in order.

Lucius smiled at his wife. "We are agreed, then?"

Narcissa raised her eyebrows and returned the smile. "Of course. We must detach him from that Potter brat. And the Parkinson girl is a...very acceptable match for our Draco."

Lucius’ smile widened. "And what better day to announce this...triumph of love than Valentine's Day?"

Narcissa felt a twinge of guilt. She knew what it was like to have one's childish dreams of romance disrupted by the demands of adulthood. But she had recovered, and so would Draco.

Long practice let her ignore the sudden memory of black eyes, flashing with passion.
